It's not Kobeni's abilities that surprises us, it's her courage. We all saw the hotel episode. It comes across as being left field that she can charge at the enemy and leap on top of a terrifying summon to get to them.

As for the skill, we have to assume all the rookies receive training and possess some kind of power. So that's the only part that isn't surprising for Kobeni. As for Denji and Power, they are outliers due to already being strong so they never needed training.

Courage isn't actually the absence of fear, it's actually the mastery of fear, and Kobeni literally faces her fears on the daily to the point where doing something like what she did in this episode isn't actually that surprising.

Makima is literally Gojo of this anime, so its not really surprising

it was at the beginning as soon as she secured Chainsaw and used him as a shield... Chainsaw took a couple of bullets but she didnt immediately return fire... when Sawatari had no cover . She waited til she got in the car then started to shoot. EPIC FAIL !! If Sawatari had more trump cards -- she could've destroyed Kobeni right there and took Chainsaw
